About Patricia Dolez
Patricia Dolez, Eng., Ph.D., is a researcher at CTT Group (St-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada), a Testing and R&D Laboratory specialized in technical textiles, textile-based advanced materials, geosynthetics, and polymers. Her R&D activities are related to the application of nanotechnologies, smart textiles, natural fibres, and recycled materials in geosynthetics, building materials, and protective clothing. She got interested in the subject of protection against nanoparticles while working with the Research Chair in Protective Materials and Equipment for Occupational Safety and Health at ÉTS (École de Technologie Supérieure) of Montreal. There and together with her team, she designed a method for measuring the penetration of nano-particles through textile-based and polymer protective membranes in conditions simulating occupational use. Dr. Dolez has authored more than 90 publications and holds a portfolio of several industrial achievements.
